Instructions
Pour the beaten egg into a shallow dish.
Whisk in the melted butter, then slowly add the milk and vanilla. Stir until combined.
Add the sugar, salt, and flour while continuing to whisk until mostly smooth.
Soak each side of the bread in the batter until saturated. About 20 seconds each side.
Using butter, grease a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Cook the bread until golden, about one minute per side.
Serve warm with your favorite fruit and syrup!
